Attendant Care

Attendant care provided by a personal care agency refers to non-medical, hands-on assistance with daily living activities for individuals who need help due to age, disability, or illness. This type of care is designed to support clients in their homes and help them maintain independence. Attendant care in Indiana is often covered by Medicaid waiver programs, private pay, and long-term care insurance, depending on the individual's eligibility and the agency’s credentials.

It enables them to access community resources, social activities

A key requirement is that the participant and the principal caregiver must reside together in a private home.
